Ingredients
4 peppers / or tomatoes to stuff
Mozzarella or burrata
garlic
olive oil
Basil leaves
Salt and pepper
Bayonne ham (or other)
Instructions
Preparing the peppers and garnish
Wash the peppers, cut them in half and remove the hard center and seeds.
Then season the inside with salt and pepper.
Cut the mozzarella or burrata into pieces and distribute them among the peppers/tomatoes.
Sprinkle again with salt and pepper.
Cooking garnished peppers in a brazier
Cook the peppers/tomatoes for about 10 minutes and turn them regularly with a quarter turn, so that the side heat can also intervene.
When you notice that the cheese is starting to melt, you can add Bayonne ham on top (or another type of ham but here we have the Basque country in our blood haha).
Service
Once everything is cooked, remove them.
Place 2 to 3 basil leaves in each pepper, sprinkle everything with olive oil .
And serve hot.
